Hello, my name is Gabby.

I'm a documentary filmmaker, multimedia producer and first-time parent. My own “RAISED” story began with my grandparents fleeing various hopeless situations in Iraq and Eastern Europe to get to the United States, where I live today. After having my son, I set out to connect with immigrants (both new to the country and 1st/2nd generation) to help navigate raising a child in modern American culture and nurture the part of me that appreciates, and is still connected to, other places. I went looking for different perspectives and practical advice, but wound up finding so much more. 

I hope RAISED inspires you to explore new places, dig into history and remember you are in good company in your journey through life's up and downs.
